Parents
& Citizens Association
The role of school P&C Associations has become much more involved
than the traditional fund-raising function.
Due to the changing nature of education, parents have greater
input into decision making in schools. There are many informal
groups that you can become involved in.
These groups usually meet monthly or as required.
We need many interested people to give a little of their time
to ensure effective parent involvement at Bli Bli State School
and to form a caring community.
So come along to your P&C meetings and become involved in
your school. Meetings are held in the school staff room on the
last Wednesday of each month at 7.15pm.
P&C
Executive
This consists of a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer
and assistant treasurer. These people ensure each monthly meeting
runs smoothly and effectively. Nominations are called for the
AGM (held in December) on the last Wednesday in October.

high standards of health and safety are maintained at school,
as well as to and from school.

this important service of ordering and selling uniforms. Pre

The bags are placed in the tuckshop basket in the classroom and

5c extra needs to be included for the cost of the bag. Any change
will be stapled in the corner of the bag and children should be
reminded to check their bags before throwing them away.
All lunch items must be ordered by 9.30am.
The 1st lunch orders are collected from the tuckshop in the basket
at 10.40am and taken to the classroom where they are distributed
by the teacher.
The 2nd lunch orders are collected from the tuckshop in the basket
at 12.50pm and are again taken to the classroom where they are
distributed by the teacher.

recommendations from teaching staff and admin. This person is
nominated towards the end of each year.

and keep the school community well informed about P&C business.
Voluntary Contribution

The P&C
Association have a voluntary contribution scheme for its building
fund. Parents are asked to support their child's education by
participating in this scheme. Contributions sought are:
* donation
of $50 per child
* OR donation of $80 per family
This contribution is usually paid early in the year e.g. with
books and uniform purchases. A payment scheme can be arranged
through the office.
