Helpful
Hints to New Parent Liaisons
-
Be
a friend in the classroom to everyone
-
Wear a smile and a badge so people feel they can approach
you with a problem or complaint
-
Remember to relay back to meetings any conflicts you have
encountered without a predetermined opinion
-
Be open to new ideas.
-
Know the children in your classroom, the parents who drop
into the classroom and the teacher by their first name.
-
Set a regular time to meet with your teacher to discuss needs
or conflicts within the classroom. Make this a weekly, casual
meeting when both parties are relaxed
